Evidentia Group has appointed a head of product for strategy and managed funds, Mark Spring, as the firm expands that part of its business to the market.

Spring joins from Active Super, where he spent five years as a retirement strategy lead. He had already been working with Evidentia for the past year in a consultancy role. Spring also spent eight years at NAB in its product innovation team.

The firm’s appointment reflects focus on evolving the investment product suite.

The goal is to help advisers deliver the right solutions to the right clients at the right time.

Chief operating officer Jason Komadina said the company is seeking to innovate and expand its offering.

‘Mark’s deep experience makes him an outstanding addition,’ he said.

‘His appointment reflects our commitment to investing in our clients and ensuring we have the capabilities, products and expertise to continue leading the market.’

Komadina added that as the company grows, it needs to keep developing innovative solutions for a wider range of client needs.

Spring, he said, will play a key role in achieving those goals.

Spring is thrilled to join the company.

He joins at an important stage of its growth. ‘The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality investment solutions and supporting advisers with practical, client-focused outcomes,’ he said. Spring pointed to a ‘significant opportunity to further strengthen our offering, drive innovation and help advisers access the solutions they need.’

Leadership changes underway at the firm

The appointment comes after a broader leadership reshuffle.

Last month, the company announced that chief executive Michael Wright will move across to become chair as Peter Smith steps down. Wright has been CEO of Evidentia Group since it formed in February 2025, following Generation Life Group’s acquisition of Evidentia and its subsequent merger with Lonsec Investment Solutions. Before that, he had been CEO of Lonsec for more than four years.

Louise Watson has been named incoming CEO.

She takes over from Wright in August 2026. She joins from Natixis Investment Managers, where she is country head for Australia and New Zealand.
