T. Rowe Price intermediary exec joins Evidentia Private

Jonathon Ross, the former head of intermediary sales at T. Rowe Price, has joined Evidentia Private as a principal for private wealth solutions. The move brings a veteran distribution executive to the Sydney-based wealth manager, which is expanding its services for financial advisers and high-net-worth clients.
From T. Rowe Price to Evidentia Private
Ross spent 11 years at the US fund manager. He started as a relationship manager for Australia and New Zealand, then became head of intermediary sales for five years. He left that role in March 2026.
In his last position at T. Rowe Price, he led the firm’s intermediary strategy, managed client relationships, and worked closely with platforms and managed account providers. Before joining T. Rowe Price, he spent a decade at NAB/MLC as a business development manager.
His new role at Evidentia is based in Sydney. He’ll be responsible for building relationships with clients and financial advice firms in New South Wales and Queensland.
Focus on Private Wealth Solutions
According to the firm, Ross’s appointment “continues our focus on attracting the best professionals in the industry to continually enhance our offering and ensure our partner firms receive the highest level of support.” The company added that his focus will be on Evidentia Private’s tailored asset consulting services and private markets solutions.

The firm described Ross as having “deep expertise across equities, fixed income, multi-asset and alternative investments.” It said he is passionate about partnering with advisers and investment professionals “to deliver exceptional client outcomes through thoughtful investment strategies, market insights and a commitment to service excellence.”
This sort of lateral move — from a large asset manager to a more specialized wealth platform — is becoming more common as distribution executives seek roles where they can work directly with adviser relationships rather than managing broad institutional sales. Ross’s background in intermediary strategy and managed accounts fits well with Evidentia’s push into private markets and tailored consulting.
Meanwhile, back at T. Rowe Price, Ross’s former role has been filled. Heath Branigan, an internal promotion, took over as head of intermediary sales. Branigan joined the firm in 2011 as a relationship manager and, before his promotion, worked with financial institutions as a business development manager.
Branigan assumed the senior role on June 1 and also sits on the firm’s Asia-Pacific distribution leadership team. His appointment marks a continuation of the firm’s strategy to promote from within for key distribution positions.
